Maine Rapids is a central-Maine based USA Field Hockey affiliated club program for players wishing to further their field hockey skills in a fun, competitive setting which fosters a love of the game. Our coaches are professionals who bring years of experience to the program and are dedicated to delivering the best in technical and tactical field hockey training.

Registration for all age groups for the spring session is open until spots are filled. There is no one-day tryout for any age group. Tournament teams are chosen during practice. Players may also choose the practice-only option if they do not wish to participate in tournaments. See the schedule of practices and tournaments
Maine Rapids 2025 Spring Session Structure
Maine Rapids is accepting up to 35 players in each age group (U19, U16, U14, U12/10) to participate in the 2025 spring session. Players will practice together in their age group practice time slots and tournament team selections will occur based on performance at practice. There is a practice-only option for those players that do not wish to be considered for a tournament team, giving more athletes an opportunity to grow their game.
For all levels, registration is first come, first served - there is no one-day tryout. We will be selecting tournament teams from the practice sessions.
At the U16 and U19 levels, we wil be selecting one team (16 players) to attend the Easter Tournament in Delaware. We will be attending two other tournaments in which we will be selecting players for: Shamrock Showdown and NECC, both in New Hampshire. See the schedule.
At the U14, U12, and U10 levels, we will be inviting athletes to compete in each tournament. Practices are twice per week. See the schedule.

Maine Rapids coaching staff are talented, experienced coaches delivering a comprehensive training program to maximize player’s technical and tactical development. Beyond their love of the game, they strive to provide the best overall field hockey experience for each player.
Programs
Maine Rapids offers programs for five age groups: U19, U16, U14, U12 and U10. Learn more about which age group your player would be in, and what to expect in that program.

Spring session runs from the end of February through the end of April. Players in all age groups will develop their game through elite practice opportunities and will showcase their competitive skills with regional and national tournament play.
